Rajan Chakrabarty

Dr. Rajan Chakrabarty is the Chief Scientific Advisor and Co-Founder of Agilus Neuro, and the Harold D. Jolley Professor of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. At Agilus Neuro, he guides the scientific translation of next-generation biosensing platforms, bridging complex biomarker research with point-of-care diagnostic commercialization.

Developed in his research lab at Washington University, Agilus Neuro's proprietary technology was engineered to overcome the complex biological interference found in native clinical samples. The diagnostic platform enables the rapid, ultra-sensitive detection of critical neurodegenerative biomarkers, effectively miniaturizing central-lab precision into a highly scalable, decentralized triage tool.

Dr. Chakrabarty earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the University of Nevada, Reno. A globally recognized leader in interdisciplinary engineering and translational science, his work has been honored with numerous accolades, including the NSF CAREER Award. In 2026, he was elected as a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and a Fellow of the American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR).
